As you should have guessed by now: All content on this website is fictional and “for entertainment purposes” – and so are any tweets related to it.

In other words, it’s just nonsense and sometimes, it’s even plain bullshit. Sort of like The Onion. Usually, the posts are based on recent events, existing companies and people, but beyond that, it’s just my imagination.

My name is Marisa van Velzen, I live and work in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

I work as a PHP webdeveloper and Linux system administrator at iBOOD, Europe’s biggest one day deal site.

I have exceptionally broad interests within (and outside of) IT, ranging from frontend & backend webdevelopment, Linux, hosting & servers, usability & design, marketing and much more.

Technical details

In case you’re wondering: I’ve built this site using the unavoidable WordPress and a custom theme, based on the Starkers theme. It runs on a VPS with nginx and PHP-FPM. I’m using the Super Cache plugin to keep things static, for better performance. Feel free to drop me a line if you have questions about WordPress or other technical stuff.
